My butterfly garden is becoming a great location to find new insects I’ve never seen before – this is a nymph katydid!!! And in the picture it looks like it is spinning a web, but the sticky strands are just a defensive move when they feel threatened. Snowflakes, crystals, and ice
Snowflakes may have been my first Macro obsession, and even now it is hard to sit through a snowfall without rushing outdoors. I know each flake is different, and so far none have been perfect but all have been stunningly beautiful. I’m amazed I am able to do this in my own backyard. I use my 100mm Laowa lens and Sony A6600. And every winter I get better!
