Welcome! I’m a librarian/library director by day but at heart I’m a photographer. I am happiest when I have my camera and am focused on the beauty around me. It is my happy place.
I have had SO many cameras over the years. Box cameras, disc cameras, 110’s (with cube flash!), and my first 35mm – a black/white Konica my brother handed down to me in my teens. Digital cameras have made a hack like me able to make a ton of mistakes, learn like crazy, and come up with a few pictures I like along the way. No more buying rolls of film, driving through the Fotomat to get it developed and get this – WAITING until you developed the film to know if you got anything good!
Since I am more of an instant gratification girl, the faster cameras became the more I loved taking pictures. Now, my obsessions usually have to do with whatever my latest lens is, and right now my most recent lens is my macro lens.
These days I shoot with a Sony a6600 and have a handful of lenses including

Almost any vacation picture of me, I have a camera in my hand. This one is unrealistic in two ways – I’m no longer that skinny, and Yellowstone doesn’t quite look like that – but it cracked me up, so there you go.
